Terence Bogue specialises in the photography of art and craft for artists, galleries and museums.
Raised in Brazil and strongly influenced by photographer Otto Stupakoff, he studied photography at the
Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. He then worked for Adrian Flowers in London
before moving to Australia, where he continued to gain broad experience in advertising/commercial photography
He set up his own studio in Melbourne in 1979.
Since 1982 he has worked extensively with artists and craftspeople
photographing ceramics, sculpture, glass, metal, paintings, textiles and wood
His photographic hallmark is a considered simplicity
His images are both descriptive and evocative,
conveying a sense of the works that extends beyond documentation.
His fashion and exhibition photographs have a quirky edge.
They evoke more questions than answers.
